Honor 9X review
Honor smartphones are highly known for its cost effectivepricing and features. It has launched another handset from the X range series “ Honor 9X “. It is considerably the last heir of Honor smartphones to have Google Mobile services (GSM) cause of Google’s ban using its app. A concoction of great hardware, brilliant design and appealing price makes the Honor smartphones interesting in its own way.

- The design of Honor 9X is commendable in terms of look and feel. The phone gives a true leap of elegant feel with the classy looks.The curved finishing of the phone makes the hold quite smooth and comfortable.
- The phone covers the front with Gorilla glass protection along with back with plastic body frame. However, Honor hasn’t confirmed the material used in making the body.
- There lies a fingerprint scanner mounted at the back. It seems to be highy responsive and works sublime even in sweaty times.
- The phone has a triple rear camera at the back side. The power button seems to be small and volume rockers are placed nicelyat the top of it.
- It comes with a hybrid sim slot where you can either use one sim or one memory card or both the sims simultaneously.
- One special feature to be noticed is the Pop Up camera in Honor 9x.
- In the bottom, the output of speakers are magnificent. We hardly found any issues even in the output of headphone jack. It works fine.
- It also supports Widevine L1 for the high end streaming.
- There’s hardly noticeable chin at the bottom of the screen. Thanks to Pop Up camera, the 91% screen to body ratio is just phenomenal.
- Display :
- The Honor 9X possess a big screen in a affordable price. It has a 6.59 inches LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080×2340. The Display of the honor 9X looks quite modern and clean.
- The brightness of the phone is appreciable. The colours seems to be accurate and the viewing angles are just top notch.
- One main highlighted feature of this phone is the thin bezzels which further makes it more classy and astonishing.
- Camera :
- The phone comes with a triple rear camera. It has a 48 MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and an 8 MP wide angle. The intersting part is the Artificial intelligence shooting mode with it. The AI does the great job as it automatically gears up the right skin tone, Sharpness of background, processing and more.
- We shot some Day light pictures with the rear camera and the processing, Saturation, dynamic range and Sharpness comes out exceptionally substantial.
- In artificial light conditions, the pictures bulges out clear and concise.
- The front facing 16MP Pop Up camera performs the required job pretty good. The sharpness in the portrait shots makes the pictures not that outstanding but good enough for the purpose.
- We shot an entire video to see the performance of the video part. We noticed the stabilization and exposure of the subjects exquisite and supreme.
- With the help of AI, the camera performance emergesthe skin tone very well optimised. Thanks to the Honor Algorithms.
- Performance :
- The performance of the Honor 9X is fairly good. It uses the Kirin 710F chipset.
- It comes with two Ram and storage variants as 4GB RAM and 128 GB of storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
- We are getting EMUI 9.1 which is based on Android 9 operating system. We are hoping to get the OTA updates of Android 10 soon in India.
- The App. Load time is quick to open and instant. The animation looks maginficent to watch. Honestly, we didn’t find any bug in terms of performance.
- The latest GPU turbo technology been the finest in the Performance sector. It makes the gaming performance fluid and snappy and there would be no issues using the phone for the everyday tasks.
- Battery :
- Honor 9X packs with a massive 4000 mAh battery. It is considerably the better battery backup phone than most of the recent launched expensive smartphones. It lasts for the entire day with the heavy use of the phone and there is no need to worry in terms of battery compartment.
- The 10w charger comes along with the box. Which is quite the common thing in this price segment.

The Honor 9X is a blend of all the essential features required for the daily purpose. It doesnot blow your mind with its performance, camera or display but delivers the perfectresults considering the price segment of Rs 13,999.
