- First and the Foremost issue we faced with this device is the Quality control ( a system of maintaining standards in manufactured products by testing a sample of the output against the specification).
We have seen minor issues in quality control in both of our units( Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro). We have got a defected notification led light in Redmi Note 7 and screen bleeding issue ( Gray light scattering from the bottom of the display) against the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
- In terms of durability, we have Gorilla glass 5. But still we recommend you to use protection in this device. After a rough usage, we didn’t seen any surprising scratches which makes it durable than the plastic body phones.
- We have not received any bending issues with this device. Yet if you bend it intentionally then it may give flex easily.
- When talk about looks, we must say it is a refreshing glass bodydesign to have in the range of 14000-15000 rather than other brands who gives plastic body design.
- The phone is perfectly fit to hand and it doesn’t give any problem while working or using anything on the phone.
- One disappointment can be seen on the hybrid sim slot. Otherwise the ear piece quality and the carrier quality comes out drastically great.
- We have seen all the sensors in this smartphone whereas minor problems are coming while using GPS navigation.
- The fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate. The headphone jack output is perfect and loud. The company should work onto the speaker quality as the loudness is quite low.
- We even get the Widevine L1 support which means you can watch the Netflix Content in full HD. We also get the Type-c usb port and the notification LED light. Eventually, Redmi has given everything in the design.This phone can be called as close to perfect.
- Display :
- This phone comes with a 6.3 inch Full HD display with Gorilla glass 5 protection. The display shows bright and accurate colours. The viewing angles are also great.
- The touch response of this phone is rapid and accurate.
- The one disadvantage can be seen in this device which is screen bleeding issue. Yes it may come with time but it is not a major issue to ignore this smartphone.
- Camera :
- This phone comes with 48+5MP rear Yes you can take pictures with 48MP camera which is found to be such a senseless option. Who would want to fill up the 64GB storage with just one picture of 20MB. It may be beneficial for the marketing purpose for the company. We don’t see a huge difference in normal photo in comparison to 48 MP.
- The night mode feature is quite useful in capturing photos in darkness.
- The photos comes out so good in day light conditions. The sharpness looks blossom which boosts the colour so beautifully with the AI. The dynamic range works fine in low light conditions.
- The portrait mode justifies the picture quality.
- In case of Front camera, we have 13 MP camera. We have noticed that the picture comes out looks yellow. Overall the photo comes out best in this phone.
- About the Video Quality, white balance, stabilization and EIS works Fantastic. The exposure is finely balanced. Overall the video quality is best in this smartphone.
- Overall, This phone has an impressive 48 MP camera which produces high quality pictures in such a mid range budget.
- Performance :
- This phone comes with Snapdragon 675 processor which is known to be immensely powerful . We have MiUi 10 which is based on Android 9.0 pie. It gives smooth, lag free ,stable performance.
- This phone has 6GB + 64 GB storage.We have performed the storage test and it gives good results with the help of which it is able to give good app load time and smooth performance.
- The ram management performs really good. The MiUi has tile app view which resist the performance in quick switching.
- About the gaming performance, This phone is not well optimised for the gaming performance. We played many games and it certainly lags on many parts of the games either it is PUB G or asphalt 9.
- Heating issues are a major concern in this device while playing games and using camera in day light conditions.
- Overall the phone has an impactful processor with a beautiful MiUi android 9.0 pie based. The gaming performance can be hopefully resolve in future by gaming developers with the optimisation issue. Otherwise the phone is incredible in terms of performance.
- Battery :
- This phone comes with 4000 mAH battery back-up which supports Quick charge 4.0 with a Type-C port. This phone charged full with 3.0 Quick charge in 1 hour 30 minutes. We haven’t seen any issues regarding the battery life of this phone.

- Redmi has given an strong competition to its competitors in this segment by launching this device. Every smartphone comes with pros and cons including this device. But to see in all aspects of this phone, this device manage to grab attention of ours in this price bracket with its overall performance.
